2023 Clinics

Private Clinics

You have spoken, and we are listening. The past few years we have been hosting more and more private clinics here at Hooper Crossing Ranch, and it only makes sense.

A private clinic is 2-6 people for 1, 2 or 3 days. You get 6 hours a day with Keith (that is a lot!) and all the free time that you want. We build your clinic around your needs... horsemanship (basic to advanced), obstacle, cow work, or any combination. You are riding with people of your choice, getting plenty of one-on-one instruction on whatever it is you want to work on.

Keith will help you with special requests such as hobbling and working with your horse's feet, loping circles, lead changes, roping, etc. If you are interested in learning to rope or perfecting your roping skills, we have a mechanical steer that is lots of fun and we can build a clinic around your roping needs.

If cattle are available, Keith is happy to put together a cow clinic for you to better your cattle handling skills. There is an extra charge for cattle. We have also added a CowTracker to our training toolbox. Not only is it good for getting your horse to watch and move with a cow correctly, it's also lots of fun!

Remember, this is your clinic. If it is hot and you want to start at 5 am we will do that.  If you want to take a break in the middle of the day and ride again in the evening, we will do that too.  We will never invite anyone else to your private clinic.

The ranch has a large outdoor arena, large and small round pens, and a challenging obstacle course.
If your clinic includes roping we have a mechanical cow to pull with the 4 wheeler.
We have also added cow tracker to the fun!
